Fairborn, OH – January 29, 2023 – Aptima, Inc., a trailblazer in leveraging artificial intelligence and advanced analytics to enhance mission readiness, continues to drive innovation in human performance. By harnessing data-driven insights, Aptima specializes in tailoring training and human-machine teaming solutions, positively impacting the lives of warfighters. Today’s announcement signifies further strides in deploying the company’s SBIR-based solutions to the field.

Aptima pioneers groundbreaking solutions that elevate warfighter performance across diverse, technology-driven missions. From immersive training scenarios to real-world applications in operational domains and the battlefield, the company’s technologies offer intelligent insights for precision training and AI-integrated support, directly benefiting warfighters’ wellbeing.

The recent $40 Million augmentation supplements a 2019 Phase III contract award, initially valued at up to $59 Million, that has resulted in over $43 Million in funding received by Aptima over the past 4 years. This funding has been pivotal in facilitating transition of Aptima’s capabilities, including adaptive learning systems that personalize scalable education. Additionally, it supports the US Air Force Combat Air Forces (CAF)-wide Proficiency Based Training (PBT) program (video below), actively rolling out to operational units across the CAF. These advancements align with the military’s objective to enhance warfighter proficiency and readiness through more effective, targeted learning methodologies.

Aptima has cultivated enduring partnerships across the US military, serving forward-leaning defense organizations such as the 711th Human Performance Wing, Air Combat Command (ACC), Air Education Training Command (AETC), Defense Advanced Research Agency (DARPA), and the Naval Air Warfare Center Training Systems Division (NAWCTSD), among others.

Acknowledging the invaluable support of the Dayton Development Coalition and JobsOhio since Aptima’s establishment in Fairborn, the company has also forged a robust alliance with The Dayton Regional STEM School. This commitment aims to foster the next generation of talent, vital for Aptima’s growth and the overall prosperity of the region.
