Tasia Rechisky: Boston Business Journal 40 Under 40 Class of 2020 Nominee

Meet Tasia Rechisky, Aptima’s nominee for the Boston Business Journal’s 40 Under 40 Class of 2020. Tasia is a star at Aptima: she works seamlessly across domains, working with and carrying responsibilities within the Business Development, Contracts, Finance, Research & Development, and Technology teams. She applies her deep knowledge of business administration to all of these domains, assisting and guiding her coworkers in navigating critical junctures where business constraints meet R&D/technology project management. Tasia also manages her many and diverse responsibilities with grace and professionalism. She is 100% self-motivated with an unparalleled work ethic, identifying areas for improvement without direction from management, and is a very patient teacher and mentor who strives to further the career of her coworkers. All of these qualities make Tasia a recognized leader within Aptima.

Tasia holds a BA in History and BS in Business Administration from Boston University where she was a member of Beta Gamma Sigma and the National Society of Collegiate Scholars. She is currently pursuing her MBA degree at UMASS Lowell. Tasia is also a Girl Scout Gold Award recipient, the highest achievement within the Girl Scouts of the USA, earned by Senior and Ambassador Girl Scouts. Only 5.4% of eligible Girl Scouts successfully earn the Gold Award.

It is not trite to say that Tasia lives the ethics of Girl Scouting every minute of every day: She is a person of deep courage, confidence, and character, who makes the world a better place. She is empathetic to those around her, showing incredible patience when teaching and mentoring colleagues, selflessly accomplishes difficult tasks, and is always ready to share recognition with others who contributed to an effort.

This year at Aptima, Tasia is leading a major initiative: the transition of the company’s Knowledge Management System, which spans 25 years of data and material, to Microsoft Teams/Sharepoint. When completed, this will be a major transition for the company and a huge professional accomplishment for Tasia.

Outside work, Tasia continually and continuously gives back to her community. Her activities include, but are not limited to:

Despite the demands of her full time position, Tasia’s many ongoing volunteer activities outside work, and the pursuit of her MBA after hours, Tasia always gives 110% at Aptima level and never lets anyone down when she’s asked to do something. Tasia is a rock star across every aspect of her life and Aptima is proud to have nominated her for the Boston Business Journal’s 40 Under 40 Class of 2020!
