Aptima Selected as Member of Aquilent Team for $20 Billion NITAAC CIO-SP3 Contract

CIO-SP3 is pre-eminent Government-wide Acquisition Contract (GWAC) in today’s IT marketplace

Woburn, MA, January 2, 2012 – Aptima, Inc. announced today that it has been selected as a member of the Aquilent team under the NIH Information Technology Acquisition and Assessment Center (NITAAC) Chief Information Officer – Solutions & Partners 3 (CIO-SP3) program. [Archived Link No Longer Available]

With the award of CIO-SP3, NITAAC is providing its customers with new, highly-qualified partners. The selection of the Aquilent team illustrates the government’s emphasis on delivering scientific, health, administrative, operational, managerial, and information management requirements in innovative ways to incorporate the federal CIO’s digital strategy. NITAAC is now offering its customers access to one of the premiere technology solutions companies that is pioneering the application of emerging technologies to address the many challenges facing today’s federal agencies.

CIO-SP3 is the pre-eminent Government-wide Acquisition Contract (GWAC) in today’s IT marketplace. The vehicle is a ten (10) year Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contract with a $20 billion ceiling that can be utilized by any federal civilian or DoD agency to satisfy their IT requirements. Through this procurement, NITAAC will award multiple Task Order contracts under which a wide variety of IT initiatives can be addressed. CIO-SP3 is specifically designed to support the goals of the Federal Health Architecture (FHA), as well as the larger Federal Enterprise Architecture (FEA).  Task areas include:

  1. IT Services for Biomedical Research, Health Services, and Healthcare
  2. Chief Information Officer (CIO) Support
  3. Imaging
  4. Outsourcing
  5. IT Operations and Maintenance
  6. Integration Services
  7. Critical Infrastructure Protection and Information Assurance
  8. Digital Government
  9. Enterprise Resource Planning
  10. Software Development
