Fairborn, OH, July 1, 2013 – Aptima, Inc., the leading human-centered R&D company that applies expertise in the disciplines of how humans think, learn, and behave, announced today that its wholly-owned subsidiary, Analytic Diabetic Systems, LLC, has been selected for an award from the Ohio Third Frontier Commission.

Ohio Third Frontier advances new technology and supports rising talent. Its Technology Validation and Start-Up Fund assists start-up companies that commercialize technologies developed by Ohio institutions of higher education and other not-for-profit research institutions. The program supports technologies that need validation, such as the building of a prototype before a technology is commercially viable and able to support a start-up company. The program also assists companies that license these products to help move the technology forward into widespread use.
“We continue to make Ohio stronger by investing in the high-tech jobs of tomorrow and ensuring our students can compete for these jobs,” said David Goodman, director of the Ohio Development Services Agency and chair of the Ohio Third Frontier Commission.
