Brian Schreiber has specialized in military-related applied research since 1993. Prior to joining Aptima, he was the CEO of Lumir Research Institute (now part of Aptima), where he oversaw the development of PETS™, an intelligent suite of data mining, performance analysis, and storage tools developed by AFRL/RHAS and Lumir as part of the Warfighter Readiness Assessment Performance Measurement and Tracking System (WRAP-MTS). Brian’s expertise is frequently sought in the areas of performance measurement, knowledge elicitation, and behavioral studies of pilot performance. He has been the Principal Investigator on a number of Department of Defense research projects, including training effectiveness evaluations of simulation environments, fidelity capability and deficiency analyses, objective performance measurement identification and algorithm development, and measurement tool design and specification.
Brian holds a MS in Human Factors from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. He has more than 60 publications in peer-reviewed journals, book chapters, and/or technical reports.
