Aptima employee to lead practitioner group focused on the development and application of human factors data and principles to training systems
Woburn, MA, September 26, 2011 – Aptima, Inc., the human-centered R&D company that applies expertise in the disciplines of how humans think, learn, and behave to solve challenges faced by the U.S. Department of Defense, announced today that Emily E. Wiese has been named Chair of the Human Factors and Ergonomics Society (HFES) Training Technical Group (TTG).
Ms. Wiese is a Principal Human Factors Engineer and the Team Lead of Aptima’s Performance Assessment Team. She is also the Product Manager for Aptima’s Performance Measurement Technologies, including A-Measure®, the industry’s first full-performance measurement solution for creating, collecting, and using performance measures in live, virtual, and constructive environments. For the past two years, Ms. Wiese has served as the HFES TTG’s Program Chair.
The HFES TTG [Archived Link No Longer Available] consists of over 300 people interested in all aspects of human factors as applied to training systems. This includes training system design and evaluation, innovative technologies for training, and instructional design and implementation applied to training systems. The single largest sponsor of human factors training research, development, and acquisition is the Department of Defense.
