Up-to-date education is necessary to function both in society and in the workplace. Yet, with the pace of change, staying current in any field is a challenge.
Aptima is a leading developer of educational tools that support knowledge acquisition and technical proficiency. We specialize in computer and web-based training, and have developed a range of engaging products, including a tutorial program that helps adult learners acquire competence in computer networks, and another that fosters reading comprehension skills.
We also develop multimedia educational programs, including one to educate and inform low-literacy adults about health-related issues, and an e-learning environment that supports learning across members of a professional community.
We adapt our training solutions to each client's needs, leveraging our existing programs and using our experience to solve new challenges. A major strength of Aptima’s educational programs is that by fostering success, they motivate people to continue learning.

Removing Barriers to the Use of Medical Decision Support Tools
Developed a web-based tutorial that “demystifies” medical informatics tools, so clinicians can better use them to make decisions about cardiac diagnoses and admissions <more>

Worked with several hospital sponsors to developed a multimedia educational CD for the Centers for Disease Control

e-Community for Work Analysis Practitioners
Developed an online community of practice where researchers learn and exchange information regarding Cognitive Task Analysis
