Deepak specializes in biomechanics, human instrumentation, and physiological performance assessment. Over the past fourteen years, Deepak has served as an effective lead investigator on multi-institution and internationally collaborative teams to tackle cross-disciplinary biomedical design projects in academic, government and industry settings. Relevant skills in his wheelhouse include biomedical sensing, musculoskeletal modeling, human-subject study design, multi-modal data analysis, and machine learning methods. He currently provides technical leadership for human performance assessment and health tracking systems. He works closely with subject matter experts, research teams, and engineering teams to identify robust solutions to current and emerging problems.
Deepak holds an M.S. in Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering from the University of Virginia (Center for Applied Biomechanics) and a B.S. in Biomedical Engineering from Duke University. He is a member of the Biomedical Engineering Society (BMES), American Institute for Aeronautics and Astronautics (AIAA) and the Institute for Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE).
