Cassie has a broad range of experience in leadership and technology. She served in the military as an Ordnance Corps officer for 8 years and in leadership positions in the corporate sector ranging from corporate web director to project manager. Her technology background includes electrical engineering, software engineering, and human factors engineering. Prior to joining Aptima, she was deputy project manager and senior human factors engineer on Nett Warrior while working at CSRA. With Soldier and customer input, she designed the user interface for the majority of the Nett Warrior Suite that was fielded to the U.S. Army. She also worked with the Human Factors Engineering team within the Office of Informatics and Analytics of the Veterans Health Administration to test the overall usability of the Enterprise Health Management Platform. Her research interests include human performance, training, virtual environments, augmented reality and medical technology.
Cassie is currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Human Factors Engineering at Wright State University. She holds a M.S. in Human Factors from Wright State and a B.S. in electrical engineering from the United States Military Academy. She is a member of the Human Factors and Ergonomics Society, The Society for Human Performance in Extreme Environments, and the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers.
